Notes on Fluted Stone

A study in the materials that inspire our packaging.

Notes on Fluted Stone

Wall text

Fluted stone has become a quiet signature of contemporary luxury interiors. Its vertical ridges catch the light at different angles through the day, giving a bathroom vanity or reception counter a sense of rhythm and craft that flat surfaces cannot achieve.

For amenity design, fluted stone offers an ideal stage. Pale travertine and honed limestone flatter frosted glass and ceramic dispensers, while darker stones make wine and amber tones glow. We often photograph our collections on fluted plinths because the texture echoes the tactile quality of the products themselves.

When specifying fluted stone in guest bathrooms, consider sealing and maintenance. A good sealant protects against soap and oil residue, and a soft brush keeps the grooves clean. Paired with thoughtful lighting, the result is a surface that feels both architectural and intimate.
